Cowboy Stadium Tour

This week we went with friends, Joe and Jan, to tour the new stadium. We had been to a game there but wanted to see behind the scenes. We were in awe and the tour guide was excellent!! He gave us all the statistics--like largest retractable roof in the world, largest LED screen in the world, largest opening glass doors in the world ,(they open on railroad tracks). He knew how much everything cost---amazing amounts!!! It took 10 years to plan and 4 years to build. And it is absolutely wonderful!!! This tour is well worth it.

Here we are in a suite that seats 60. Small ones hold 25-30. Jerry's holds over 200.

Joe, Jan, Janice, and Fred down on the field. We got to tour the locker rooms, storage room for the floors (concert, Cowboys, college and high school), 3 clubs, and more. They are preparing now for the All Star basketball game so the field is being rolled up and a basketball floor is being brought in on trucks. There is a 3/4 mile roadway under the field wide enough for two 18 wheelers to pass and enough space to turn one around. That is where all supplies are dropped off.

Jan and Janice in the Cowboy Cheerleaders locker room.

Joe and Fred in the end zone.

Afterwards, we met John at Fishbone for lunch. It is across Collins from the stadium and has been there since 1984. Great food!!! He eats there each week since his office is a few blocks away. What a fun day with friends!!!
