We finally found the warm weather---Feb. 20th and it is sunny and 75 in Tampa Florida!!!!
We got the RV set up, did our housecleaning, ( it only takes about 30 min with both of us working) and headed out to enjoy the day. Out host here recommended a manatee viewing area near the local power plant where the manatees come for the winter. The water is 107 degrees They just float around in the warm water and then go out into the river and ocean to eat.
They really are huge--about 1200 lbs and about 8-10 ft long. They have to surface for air every
3-5 minutes. Also we spent time watching sting rays jump out of the water and spotted some sand sharks swimming by.
Looking for shells on Treasure Island beach.
Such a beautiful day!!!
