Soaking in Pagosa Springs

We drove t0 Pagosa Springs today. The drive over was beautiful through Wolf Creek Pass. That area receives more snow than any other mountain in CO. Then we drove some backroads by the San Juan River and up to a mt. reservoir. Fred just had to walk out on this cliff. Being out on something like that makes me want to jump so I need one with a railing.

Huge rocks are everywhere. Pictures can't show how majestic they are!!

The fall colors are really beginning to show.

I spent a couple of hours soaking in the mineral waters at The Resort which has a hotel, spa, and 23 pools of different temperatures ranging from 90-111 degrees. I LOVED IT!! The hot tubs were built in the hill going all the way to the river where you could get in it--It was called the BURG. The lobster pot was 111. The best was 102-104 for short soaks and then relax in the swimming pool which was 90. It was soooo relaxing.

While I was soaking, Fred went to wash the Jeep because of all the mud on it and discovered that we had ruined our first tire on those rough 4-wheel drives. So we will be tire shopping tomorrow. Seems like I remember seeing people hauling extra tires on trailers when they go 4-wheeling. Oh, well, he is really enjoying it.
