After Fred got sick on our trip in July, we spent months going to drs, finally getting it diagnosed as gallbladder, and then having surgery and getting over it. So we missed our fall trip to Montana and Canada. We couldn't wait until spring to travel again, so we found a 2-week window where we could make a trip to Arkansas and Tunica for some gambling. We went
to Mena in the Ouachita Mountains first---the leaves on the Talimena Parkway were beautiful!!

This is an actual 1941 police car.
Second stop was Russellville---along the way we drove up Mt Magazine---the tallest point in AR.
Lots of beautiful rock cliffs here in the Ozark Mountains.
The leaves are just beginning to turn here--odd since we are farther north.
